Atlanta Celebrates Photography aims to make Atlanta a leading center for the world's fastest growing art form. By producing the largest annual community-oriented photo festival in the US, we provide experiences that engage and educate diverse audiences through lens-based media.

The 2015 Festival

In October, ACP marks its 17th annual festival with free events and exhibitions at more than 100 participating venues. Please see the 2015 Festival Guide to view lectures, innovative public art, and diverse events & exhibitions across the Metro Atlanta area.

ACP Programs

Lecture Series

Hear and meet leading photographers, educators, and curators during the ACP Lecture Series. Past speakers include Gregory Crewdson, Zoe Strauss, Vincent Laforet, Tierney Gearon, Alec Soth, Larry Sultan, Bruce Davidson, Lorna Simpson, Lauren Greenfield, Deborah Willis, Dan Winters, and more.

Public Art

Featuring temporary projects in various locations throughout the City of Atlanta, ACP's Public Art Project reaches beyond the audience of traditional art venues to expand the way audiences consider lens-based art.

My Atlanta

This push-pin show celebrates the democratic nature of photography. Open to everyone, participants include amateur and professional photographers of all ages. Prizes are awarded in a variety of categories, including Viewer's Choice.

Photography Auction

ACP's Annual Gala Fundraiser is a world-class photography auction, featuring Denise Bethel, former Head of Photographs at Sotheby's NY as auctioneer. With a silent-auction, live bidding, and a full dinner, the ACP Photography Auction is a night to remember.

Film Series

The ACP Film Series explores the symbiotic connection between photography and film. While working with guest curators, we have featured early experimental films, current documentaries and everything in between.

Photobook Fair

Following the success of the inaugural Photobook Fair in 2009, ACP continues to provide an opportunity for photographers who have published books (on their own, or with publishers) to show, discuss, and sell their books to the public.

Portfolio Review

The ACP Portfolio Review and Walk offers artists the opportunity to meet with highly respected curators, dealers, editors, and agency representatives from across the US and beyond. The Portfolio Walk gives participating photographers the opportunity to present their work to the general public at an evening reception, open to all.

Special Events, Exhibitions & Collaborations

Through partnerships with cultural, neighborhood, and community-based organizations, ACP brings unique opportunities for both artists and audiences across Atlanta.
