Volunteer for Slideluck Atlanta!

August 26th, 2013

Volunteer for Slideluck Atlanta

We’re excited to announce our collaboration this year with Slideluck Atlanta. (We posted the call for entries this morning.) This collaboration will culminate at ACP’s closing party to be held at the Westside Cultural Arts Center on Friday, Oct. 25th.

Slideluck Atlanta needs a few good volunteers (where you come in!) to get involved with organizing the event on Oct. 25th. It was a great evening last year, and if you like fantastic food, great photography and fun folks, it can’t hurt to sign-up and let them know you can make the volunteer meeting at Octane Grant Park on Friday, August 30th, at 6:30pm. They’ll be building Slideluck Atlanta’s core team for this year’s event and hopefully future events.

Sign-up to attend the volunteer meeting, meet great people and learn more!

The Details from Slideluck Atlanta:

We are looking for people who can seriously commit to meetings and responsibilities as well as bring a innovative, creative presence to the area they choose to lead. Here are the positions we need and brief descriptions:

– Producer: point person and coordinator of the day of the event and manages volunteer group for the event day

– Marketing/pr: manages relationships with media/press, coordinates promotional distribution

– Social media: specifically dedicated to building a web presence, posting and updating about Slideluck through social media avenues

– Submissions: (a team effort) Charlie and Sarah from Slideluck Atlanta are managing the entry of submissions, but we would like the Slideluck team collectively to review and curate the submissions and show

Sign-up to attend the volunteer meeting, meet great people and learn more!

About Slideluck Atlanta: Part of a larger 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to building and strengthening community through food and art, Slideluck operates multimedia slideshows combined with potluck dinners in about 50 cities around the world.

ACP Web Development Project

February 24th, 2009

We’re currently soliciting proposals from developers for our Festival Guide Submission Tool. It’s a small, fun project, and we’re looking to make a decision on a developer in the next few days. Our budget is small, as we’re a non-profit arts organization, but if you’re interested in photography and the arts, it could be a good fit! If you’re interested, please let us know.

Here’s the google document with the project’s details:

Thanks for your consideration, and please feel free to forward this request if you know someone who’d be interested in the project. Previously mentioned here.

ACP in Roswell

October 6th, 2008

Atlanta Celebrates Photography exists (in large part) thanks to the efforts of volunteers who take-on a part of the Festival, and make it flourish. Gittel Price, who’s been involved with ACP for years, can be thanked for (at least five!) exhibitions in the greater Roswell area.

The latest exhibition, “Roswell Photographic Society Annual Open Juried Competition And Exhibition” opens this Friday night with a reception and awards ceremony. ACP wants to thank Gittel for her drive and involvement with helping extend the Atlanta photography community outside-the-perimeter, and beyond!

Thank You, Volunteers!

A big thank you to Yvonne Oliver & Judy Anderson for helping out with the Christopher Bucklow lecture on Thursday night. For those of you who missed it, we hope to have a video of the lecture uploaded soon.

If you’d like to volunteer for ACP this month (and next!), please fill out this form. Our immediate needs are for volunteers who can assist with our Public Art installation at the Water Tower in the old 4th Ward, and we’re looking for people to help with our Gala Photography Auction on September 26th! (More to come on both of these opportunities.)

Thank you!

ACP 10 Festival Guide (PDF)

September 4th, 2008

It’s here! Download a PDF of the ACP 10 Festival Guide, and take a look at this year’s festival, before it’s underway. Openings start this weekend!

There are more events than ever this year; the majority are in October, and in Atlanta, but ACP is spreading into new communities, and into September and November, too! We’ll have a linkable, clickable guide online soon, and printed guides will be available next week. We can use help with Guide distribution. If you’d like to volunteer to distribute Guides around the Metro Atlanta area, please let us know.

If your event’s dates/times/titles/descriptions have changed, you’ll want to send those changes (to the online guide only) to info@acpinfo.org.
