Submit Your Proposal for ACP Public Art 2012: Deadline is Feb. 12th

As ACP 2011 draws to a close, we wanted to take a second and thank each and every one who volunteered for ACP this year, including members of our executive board, friends, family, members of Atlanta Photography Group, our friends from Turner Image Management, and those of you who assisted in our Photography Auction Gala, plus these members of our volunteer list, who stepped-up and volunteered their time for specific events this year. We could not have done it without you. Thank you!

We’re currently soliciting proposals from developers for our Festival Guide Submission Tool. It’s a small, fun project, and we’re looking to make a decision on a developer in the next few days. Our budget is small, as we’re a non-profit arts organization, but if you’re interested in photography and the arts, it could be a good fit! If you’re interested, please let us know.

Here’s the google document with the project’s details:

Thanks for your consideration, and please feel free to forward this request if you know someone who’d be interested in the project. Previously mentioned here.

Atlanta Celebrates Photography exists (in large part) thanks to the efforts of volunteers who take-on a part of the Festival, and make it flourish. Gittel Price, who’s been involved with ACP for years, can be thanked for (at least five!) exhibitions in the greater Roswell area.

The latest exhibition, “Roswell Photographic Society Annual Open Juried Competition And Exhibition” opens this Friday night with a reception and awards ceremony. ACP wants to thank Gittel for her drive and involvement with helping extend the Atlanta photography community outside-the-perimeter, and beyond!

A big thank you to Yvonne Oliver & Judy Anderson for helping out with the Christopher Bucklow lecture on Thursday night. For those of you who missed it, we hope to have a video of the lecture uploaded soon.

If you’d like to volunteer for ACP this month (and next!), please fill out this form. Our immediate needs are for volunteers who can assist with our Public Art installation at the Water Tower in the old 4th Ward, and we’re looking for people to help with our Gala Photography Auction on September 26th! (More to come on both of these opportunities.)

Thank you!

It’s here! Download a PDF of the ACP 10 Festival Guide, and take a look at this year’s festival, before it’s underway. Openings start this weekend!

There are more events than ever this year; the majority are in October, and in Atlanta, but ACP is spreading into new communities, and into September and November, too! We’ll have a linkable, clickable guide online soon, and printed guides will be available next week. We can use help with Guide distribution. If you’d like to volunteer to distribute Guides around the Metro Atlanta area, please let us know.

If your event’s dates/times/titles/descriptions have changed, you’ll want to send those changes (to the online guide only) to info@acpinfo.org.
