"Atlanta Photography Group is pleased to present "Portfolio 2018", an exhibition juried by Sam Barzilay. Six exceptional artists were chosen to represent the best of contemporary photography from a national call for entries. Each artist featured in the exhibition offers a diverging approach to environmental portraiture- ranging from the surreal, to the intimate, and encompassing everything from staged narratives to social documentary work. Juror Talk: Saturday, Feburary 10, 11am-12pm
Juror Sam Barzilay will present a talk on Saturday February 10 at 11am. Barzilay will talk about the works he selected and more broadly, contemporary trends in art photography. Currently serving as Creative Director of United Photo Industries – a New York based art-presenting organization promoting a wider understanding of photography – Sam Barzilay is also the co-founder of Photoville, a photographic gathering that has rapidly become among the largest and best-attended photo festivals in North America. Sam is also one of the founding producers of the T3 Photo Festival, in Tokyo, Japan."
