This Week With ACP - Oct. 19th

My oh my! It's been an unbelievable last few days, and we're going to keep it rolling this week! We have two great ACP events planned; a panel discussion on Instagram featuring local photographers on Wednesday, and a lecture collaboration with ART PAPERS that brings Roe Ethridge to the High Museum of Art on Saturday.

Instagram is everywhere, and Wednesday's panel discussion will explore the ins-and-outs of how this relatively new medium is enabling photographers to connect to global audiences. The discussion will be led by Tyson Wheatley, and will include Stephen McMennamy, Tim Lampe, Grant Mimms, Vanessa Toro, and Whitney Ott. Should be a great evening!

On Saturday, in partnership with ART PAPERS LIVE, Roe Ethridge will be speaking about his work at the High Museum of Art. Ethridge began his photographic journey as a student at Atlanta College of Art, and his work has been exhibited at the Barbican Center, Carnegie Museum of Art, Institute of Contemporary Art in Boston, The Whitney Museum, and the Museum of Modern Art in New York City.

Here are the events and exhibitions taking place at participating venues this week. Your participation in the festival is what makes ACP the largest annual community-oriented photography festival in the country!

We'll see you out and about!
