John Summers & Chip Simone Discuss James Agee & Walker Evans at the Carter Center, Monday, June 17th, 7pm

To celebrate the publication of "Cotton Tenants" which includes James Agee's original article (which led to "Let Us Know Praise Famous Men"), the Carter Center will be having a panel discussion & book signing about Agee & Evans on Monday, June 17th. Plus, the Carter Center's current exhibition of "The American President: Photographs from the Archives of The Associated Press" will still be on view (through July 21st).

Published for the first time, Agee’s original report — accompanied by thirty of Walker Evans’ historic photos, some never before published — is an unsparing record of place and of three families who worked the land at a desperate time. Editor John Summers and Hugh Davis will discuss the work.
