Last week, Atlanta Contemporary Art Center announced the 2013 recipient of its Nexus Award would be Lucinda Bunnen. Lucinda has been instrumental in the survival and success of Atlanta Celebrates Photography, and we couldn’t be happier for her. Here’s a quote from ACP’s executive director Amy Miller:

“I can’t say enough about Lucinda Bunnen’s impact on the Atlanta art scene. Lucinda’s ideas, enthusiasm and support have buoyed Atlanta’s art ecology through tough times, and have propelled us in the smooth times. She is the consummate philanthropist, artist and patron. There are not many individuals like that in the United States, let alone Atlanta. We are unbelievably lucky to have Lucinda Bunnen in our community, and to live in the wake of her decades-long leadership.”
