Art Institute of Atlanta will be exhibiting James Haefner’s work in October. Here are the details:
“October 8 – November 24 at Art Institute of Atlanta – Janet Day Gallery, James Haefner’s ‘West Coast Architectural and Automotive Photography’. Based in Troy, Michigan, James has tremendously valuable experience in how to survive and thrive in one of the rockiest photographic environments that has existed in the USA for the past 30 years.
As a professional photographer, Jim has encountered an amazing array of challenges to his business: CGI-based imaging, up and down economies, not to mention the struggles of the local Detroit automotive industry itself, all while the landscape of the photographic industry has transitioned from film to digital, from traditional marketing and workflows to social media-based solutions.
The perspective that James brings in today’s difficult marketplace provides an invaluable learning experience. Well regarded for his iconic car and architectural photography, James will discuss his work at the Art Institute’s Janet Day gallery on Thursday, October 11, 2012, from 6-9pm.
