ACP Advanced Photobook-Making Workshop, July 21st, with Laurie Shock
Sign-up and FAQ
What is this?
An opportunity to meet one-on-one with book design and publishing expert Laurie Shock of Shock Design Books. Laurie will help you take your unfinished Photobook project and turn it into a masterpiece.
You must have your book conceptualized, have an understanding of who your target audience might be, have a strong edit, and be ready to finalize your edit or determine the best layout and design for your book, decide on the best paper to use, printing method, and distribution options based on your budget. Laurie will have lots of samples for you to evaluate during your session.
How do I sign-up for a 20-minute workshop session?
Signing-up is a three-step process. Before signing-up, make sure that you are available to attend a session anytime between 10am and 2:40pm.
Sessions are allotted on a first-come first-served basis. This means if you are the last to register, you will receive the remaining session time – whatever that may be. This also means early registrants will have the greatest freedom of choice for their session time.
1. Complete the sign-up form.
2. Click the Buy Now button below to pay $60 for your session.
3. You will be contacted by ACP to select the time of your session.
I’ve signed up, what should I bring to my session?
Different people have different ways of working. Feel free to bring your laptop with your work-in-progress, a dummy or mock-up of your book, photographic prints, samples of other books or ideas you want to incorporate. Sketches, notes, anything that you are using that is important to the process.
