“Click February 26 – March 5 Opening Reception February 26 7-10pm
The images in this exhibit are by residents of Covenant House Georgia and are the result of Youth Photography Project’s two week workshop with young people at risk, documenting their lives using donated cameras. The exhibit was curated by the staff of Youth Photography Project: SCAD graduate students Jason Riffe, Frazer Spowart and Jessica Little, in conjunction with Julian Cox, Curator of Photography at the High Museum.

Youth Photography Project is an Atlanta non-profit organization designed to offer youth ages 16 to 21 an opportunity to experience the artistic value of photography. Covenant House is a crisis support and emergency shelter for homeless, runaway and at risk youth under the age of 21. Part of an international network founded in New York in 1973, Covenant House Georgia opened its doors in Atlanta in 2000. It provides crisis intervention and community-based services, shelter and independent living programs. Each image in the exhibit is priced at $100.

All proceeds will go directly to helping further the mission of Covenant House Georgia.”

Established in 1998, Atlanta Celebrates Photography supports Atlanta's emergence as an international center for photography. Through an annual October festival and year-round programs, ACP seeks to nurture and support photographers, educate and engage audiences, promote diverse photography venues, and enrich Atlanta's cultural scene. Through these efforts, we facilitate Atlanta's emergence as a world-class cultural city.
