The Creative Loafing “Upcoming: Short List” has word of Sistagraphy‘s opening this Friday, July 11th.
The Office of African-American Student Services and Programs at Georgia State University presents DISAPPEARING BLACK NEIGHBORHOODS Fri., JULY 11, a photo exhibit that highlights the pros and cons of gentrifying urban communities in Atlanta and other major U.S. cities. All images were shot by Sistagraphy, an Atlanta-based group of African-American women photographers, and aim to let the viewer conclude whether urban renewal is a good or bad thing. Through July 30.
